DJ heyLove* grew up in the Bay Area surrounded by different cultures, ethnicities, and art. Influenced by this diversity she developed a love for variety, which is reflected in her taste for music.
You'll hear jazz, R&B, downtempo, broken beat, house, bossa nova, afro beat & hip-hop in her collection. "There should be no genre lines in music", heyLove* explains her selections are made with the purpose of expanding the soul thru sound.

With her extensive range in music DJ heyLove* has shared the stage with artists such as Grammy Award winners the Robert Glasper Experiment & Esperanza Spalding, as well as Seun Kuti, Thievery Corporation, Emily King, Jose James, Questlove, Slum Village, The Funky Meters, Tortured Soul and Mark Farina. She has created good vibes at places like The Warfield, California Academy of Sciences, The Battery SF, City View at the Metreon, The Palace of Fine Arts, Design Center SF/Galleria, and The Getty's Mansion.
DJ heyLove* specializes in sound design for events such as art gallery openings, fashion shows, wine tastings, and corporate/non-profit events. She has experience in a wide variety of settings and has a sense for choosing music well suited for the moment. Her client list includes the Twitter, Human Rights Watch, Girls Inc., Global Fund for Women, SalesForce, Google, GreenPeace and the Sierra Club.
DJ heyLove* is also apart of a trio called the "B" Sessions with upright bassist David Arend & Jack Perla on keys ~ fusing an eclectic sound with a live instrument & 2 turntables. Arend, Perla & heyLove* drop many genres of music and can create a chill lounge vibe as well as move a dance floor all night. The "B" Sessions has played for events such as the San Francisco Fillmore Jazz Festival, DreamForce, Yelp and the Castro Street Fair.

Dee Dee Simon, singer, songwriter, producer, actress, and director has impacted her audience with her heartfelt, soulful and impressive 5- Octave vocal range.
Dee Dee Simon is a native of Oakland, California. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley, a Social Welfare Major with English emphasis and San Francisco City College with a degree in Nursing, but they will tell you she was born to SING. Whether singing R&B, Soul, Neo-Soul, she skillfully delivers effortlessly. Her gospel roots can’t be denied. Her breakout album, “Diamonds are Forever” displayed her writing ability with a rhythmic demonstration of her range and depth. She has shared the stage with musical greats such as Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Charlie Wilson, Eric Benet, Bilal, Cameo, our very own DeWayne Wiggins and the list goes on
She has sang background vocals for the Ron Isley, Sting, Satana and more Dee Dee won the KBLX Who’s Got Soul Competition, 22 Bay Area Black Music Awards, 4 times Entertainer of the Year Winner, Northern California Female Singer of the Year and The Steve Harvey National Neighborhood Awards Singing Competition Winner.
At a young age, she was fortunate to receive acting and vocal training from the Late Director, Priscilla Turner which inspired her to audition for leading roles. She picked up more vocal training while at UC Berkeley and continued to hone her theatrical training under Director Beverly Monocco.
She played in Dreamgirls as ‘Effie’, the Marvin Gaye Story as ‘Tammy Terrell’, Beauty and the Soulful Beast’ as ‘Beauty’, Unforgettable, the Natalie Cole Story as ‘Natalie Cole’, A Cabin in the Sky’, He ain’t to be Played with and many more.
Dee Dee has written a short novel, When a Man Loves a Woman”. She has also written and produced five stage plays that have toured the Northern and Southern California area. She now has 2 productions up and running titled, “Misery Loves Company’’ which has hit cities: Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, Berkeley, San Francisco, Ca, Atlanta, GA, with raving reviews and “CORETTA” THE ONE WOMAN STAGE PLAY. She is a vocal coach and currently teaches at the Tony School of Music.
